What this is

Data Engineering Foundations explains the plumbing behind dashboards and machine-learning models: where data comes from, how it is ingested, modelled, tested and scheduled, and how teams keep pipelines dependable. You work through SQL-first examples and small pipeline exercises that mirror common real-world patterns.

It is an introduction, not a substitute for years of production experience, and it does not guarantee a data engineering job. Examples use widely available open-source tools; it does not teach any single vendor platform in depth.
