Description
Music Production & Theory Fundamentals is a self-paced course for beginners and self-taught producers who want two things at once: enough music theory to make deliberate choices, and the production skills to turn those choices into finished tracks. Theory and production are taught side by side, so every concept – scales, chords, rhythm, arrangement – is applied immediately in your digital audio workstation.
You will set up a DAW (the course uses concepts common to Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic and Reaper, so any of them works), learn to program drums and build grooves, write chord progressions and melodies that fit a key, and design or choose sounds with synthesis and sampling basics. Later modules cover arrangement – how a track moves from intro to drop or chorus to outro – and mixing: gain staging, EQ, compression, reverb and getting a track to a level where it translates across speakers and headphones.
The course is project-based. You will finish with at least one complete original track and the ability to listen to music you admire and understand how it was put together. The course guide PDF included with your purchase contains the full syllabus, the production exercises, a readiness self-check and a six-week study plan.
