What this is

Networking Fundamentals for Cloud explains how traffic actually moves — from IP addresses and subnets to routing, DNS, load balancers and firewalls — and then maps those ideas onto virtual networks in the major cloud platforms. Troubleshooting exercises show you how to work out where a connection is failing.

It is a fundamentals course, not preparation for any vendor networking exam, and it awards no certification. It does not promise a network engineering role.

What you will be able to do

  • Plan IP address ranges and subnets with CIDR notation
  • Explain routing, NAT and how packets reach the internet
  • Configure DNS records and understand resolution
  • Design a simple cloud virtual network with public and private subnets
  • Troubleshoot connectivity with standard command-line tools
